NS 880 chugs eastbound with three different eras of BNSF paint for power in sequential order. First is an H1 Dash 9 which was thrown on in Illinois on BNSF rails when the 2nd leader, an H2 AC4400CW had mechanical problems. Lastly is an H3 GEVO, rounding out a rather unique power set.

NS 6W4 with a Dash 9 leader rounds the curve at CP 435 in South Bend. In the background is one of the last holdouts of G-Type signals on the Chicago Line.

A KCS gray ghost AC4400CW leads 17N snaking through CP 412 in Goshen. 4537 is now a unique unit, with freshly repainted nose stripes.

NS 259 zooms by the old NYC train station at Wauseon OH, along the NS Chicago Line.

NS 23G races westbound through the Town of Oak Harbor OH with a pair of NS EMD's SD70ACe's.

The Norfolk Southern Office Car Special, running as NS 950, glides past CP 360 just outside Butler as it heads east from Chicago.

NS 265 heads west just outside Waterloo with some of the most bizarre trio of power, especially on an intermodal. The original power set went east on 264, with Nickel Plate Road heritage unit NS 8100 leading. In the northeast, a CSX SD40-2 was tacked on as the leader. After the power was spun to lead 265 back west, speculation began as the SD40 was expected to be pulled at Binghamton, NY. However, this never happened. A detour was also taking place, and this train ran on CSX trackage under X427, and the SD40 still led. Speculation continued and it was expected to be pulled in Buffalo, and then Cleveland, but it never happened. Even on NS trackage it stayed on. It's nice to see that even after the PSR purge, old EMD's are still more than capable of leading road freights.

This old BC Rail C44-9WL trails 3rd on NS ethonol train Z4K (extra 64K), rounding the giant curve in Kendallville at milepost 379. This is currently the last active BC Rail painted Canadian cab Dash 9 left on CN's roster, I feel that soon this will go to the deadline since CN is currently rebuilding their Dash 9's and SD75I's.

CPKC 234 with NS 1068 leading solo blows past the refurbished depot at CP 367 in Waterloo. This train would take the turn at CP 358 in Butler, taking the ex-Wabash to Detroit, then head to Toronto.

KCSM 4133 leads NS 60W through Mishawaka, IN past the old NYC depot.

NS 267, with SD70M #2002, painted to commemorate the 2002 Winter Olympic Games leading, snakes through the curves at CP 412 in Goshen on a cold Monday morning.

CP 7013 in heritage paint and script lettering leads CP 230 around the curve at milepost CD 379 through Kendallville, not making much speed here either.
